WHO CAN ENTER THE CAROLINE SPRINGS GEORGE CROSS F.C TOURNAMENT?
All clubs, academies, schools, and teams are welcome to participate in the Caroline Springs George Cross F.C Tournament. Our goal is to give as many clubs and teams the opportunity to take part and compete.
WHAT'S THE ADDRESS FOR THE TOURNAMENT?

DOES MY TEAM NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL DAYS?
Matches will be played across all 4 days with round games played on Friday twilight and Saturday and Sunday with finals on Monday. In most cases, teams will play in at least 1-2 finals, so please ensure you check your division's finals formats prior to the event.
Teams may be scheduled to play on Friday Night unless specifically stated to be unavailable.
Teams will not be required to be on-site all day on Saturday. We will minimise the time that teams need to be onsite. For example, if your team is scheduled to play three matches on Saturday, your team might play at 9 am, 11 am, and 1 pm, for example, then will be free to go.
Where possible we will try to accommodate requests, however, we cannot guarantee we will be able to fulfil all requests.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PLAYERS PER TEAM ALLOWED?
U8-U9: 12 players - 7 players on the field plus up to 5 players on the bench
U10-U13: Players - 9 players on the field plus up to 5 players on the bench
Please note this is the maximum amount of players you will be able to register online.
WHAT IS REQUIRED BY TEAM MANAGER OR REP TO DO BEFORE THE EVENT?
- Register the team online and provide all the details required
- Accept the terms & conditions
- Ensure you have sent the player registration link to your player's parent/guardians and that they have completed it.
- If you are asked to provide proof of a player's age you must do so with appropriate documentation that can be in the form of an FFA ID card, school ID, passport, birth certificate or other suitable photo ID document. If the opposing team requests for one of your players to prove their age and you cannot produce reasonable proof, the player in question will not be allowed to participate in that game. The required proof will be at the discretion of tournament management.

WHAT IS THE PROOF OF AGE POLICY?

Team Managers are entitled to submit ID checks for individual players on opposition teams. Any requests must be done with the Event Staff and not directly with the opposition team. Please try to notify the event staff before kick-off.
WHEN DOES THE TOURNAMENT START AND END?
The tournament begins on Friday, 7th March 2025, with matches starting at twilight. The final matches are on Monday 10th March 2025. Please ensure your team is available throughout the event, as some games may extend.
The schedule will be available before the tournament.
WHAT IS THE COST TO ENTER?
The entry fee for each team is as follows:
- Boys and Girls - U8-U10: $520 per team
- Boys and Girls - U11-U13: $620 per team

Payment must be made at the time of registration. Please note that your registration will not be confirmed until payment has been received.
WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE TOURNAMENT?
The exact format will depend on the number of entries in each division, and all teams will be notified of the schedule in advance.
ARE THERE PRIZES?
Yes, there are prizes for the following:
- 1st Place: Medals, a trophy for the team
- 2nd Place: Medals, a trophy for the team
WHAT FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE TOURNAMENT?
The tournament is hosted at Caroline Springs George Cross F.C., a premier sporting venue with world-class facilities including:
- Georgies on Vista restaurant and Bistro
- On-site canteen offering a variety of food and beverages
- First-aid station on-site with qualified staff
- Free parking for all participants and spectators
- Toilets and change rooms for both teams and officials
- Merchandise stands for tournament memorabilia
We recommend that teams bring their water bottles and any other personal supplies they may need throughout the day.
CAN SPECTATORS ATTEND?
Yes, spectators are welcome to attend the tournament! We encourage parents, friends, and supporters to cheer on the teams and enjoy the action.
ARE THERE ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS FOR TEAMS TRAVELLING FROM OUTSIDE THE AREA?
Yes, there are various accommodation options available in the local area for teams travelling from outside of the Melbourne area.

CAN I BRING MY OWN MARQUEE FOR MY TEAM?
Yes, teams are welcome to bring their own marquees. However, marquees must not be placed within any fenced playing areas at the George Cross playing fields. Placement is on a "first come, first served" basis.
To ensure safety:
- Make sure all marquees are securely anchored to the ground, as the venue is open and prone to high winds.
- The tournament organisers are not responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen marquees.

WHAT IF MY TEAM CAN NO LONGER ATTEND?
If your team cannot attend after registering, please notify us as soon as possible.
WILL MY TEAM GET A REFUND IF WE NEED TO WITHDRAW FROM THE COMPETITION?
Before the event
As a general rule, we don’t provide refunds for teams who withdraw from the competition. If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to work out a solution. Please note an admin fee may apply if a refund is processed.
During or after the event
Refunds will not be provided for matters concerning the referee's decisions or any other similar matters. Refunds will not be provided to teams that are expelled from the competition due to a breach of the code of conduct.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE TOURNAMENT IS POSTPONED OR CANCELLED. WILL OUR TEAM GET A REFUND?
Under these circumstances, the tournament organisers reserve the right to either retain the registration fee for the revised dates or to refund the registration fee after deducting an administration fee for costs already incurred for the organisation of the tournament which could not be recovered from third parties.
Should this occur teams will be contacted directly and provided with options.

CANCELLATION OF THE TOURNAMENT DUE TO FORCE MAJEURE*
In the event that the tournament can’t be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the tournament organisers (force majeure*) or due to events that are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence or the tournament organisers, the tournament organisers cannot be held liable by the delegations for any damages, costs or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders, financial losses etc. Under these circumstances, the tournament organisers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration fee for the revised dates or to reimburse the delegations after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the tournament and which could not be recovered from third parties.

DO YOU HAVE A CODE OF CONDUCT?
Yes, all participants, coaches, and spectators are expected to adhere to the tournament’s Code of Conduct, which promotes respect, fair play, and sportsmanship. Any individual found to be in violation of the code may be removed from the event at the discretion of the tournament organisers.
